Gunggeorang Cherry Blossom Festival

‘Gunggeorang’ is the compound word of ‘Gung’, meaning the shape of a river curved like a bow, and ‘Georang’, meaning the downtown in the Gyeongsang-do dialect. It was the byname of Mugeocheon River many ages ago. With about 400 cherry trees on the cherry blossom street of 2.5km along Mugeocheon River, a variety of events are presented in spring including concerts, community center performances, walkathons, food markets and prize drawings.
