- Regularization of “Street Concert of Nam-gu” Starting with the Match Against Daejeon on the 26th... Scheduled for 10 Performances This Season -

The Whale Culture Foundation (Chairman Dong-wook Seo) joins hands with Ulsan HD FC to transform the Munsu Football Stadium into a complex cultural space where sports and arts coexist.

The Whale Culture Foundation signed a “business exchange agreement for the revitalization of sports and culture” in the small conference room on the 3rd floor of the Nam-gu Office on the 22nd, with Chairman Dong-wook Seo, Ulsan HD FC CEO Kang Myeong-won, and Secretary General Choi Jung-ho in attendance.

The core of this agreement is to expand the foundation’s representative project, the “Street Concert of Nam-gu”, to the site of Ulsan HD FC’s home matches to provide diverse enjoyment to citizens visiting the stadium.

High-quality busking performances will unfold in the square at the main entrance of the stadium for a total of 10 times until October, starting with the home match against Daejeon on the 26th.

The main contents of the agreement include supporting street concert performances during home matches (2 teams per session, 1 hour), promoting the foundation’s major projects such as the Ulsan Whale Festival and Queen’s Collection within the club, mutual event cooperation such as the squad’s participation in autograph sessions and parades during the 30th Ulsan Whale Festival, prize sponsorships for spectators, and administrative support.

This agreement is raising great expectations in that Ulsan HD FC, which is spurring club renewal, and the Whale Culture Foundation, which leads the promotion of local culture and arts, meet to provide citizens with a “festival culture” beyond simple sports viewing.

Dong-wook Seo, Chairman of the Whale Culture Foundation, emphasized, “I am glad that we can deliver greater emotion to citizens by adding the melodies of the “Street Concert of Nam-gu” to the Munsu Stadium where players of Ulsan HD FC, the symbol of Ulsan, play,” adding, “We will spare no full support so that our region’s precious cultural assets can create synergy alongside the reconstruction of the club’s prestigious name.”

Kang Myung-won, CEO of Ulsan HD FC, responded, “I deeply sympathize with the Chairman’s district administration philosophy of wanting to bloom culture by communicating with the local community,” adding, “We expect the stadium atmosphere to become much brighter through elegant street concerts, and the club will also actively cooperate in widely publicizing the foundation’s major projects, such as the Whale Festival, to fans to be reborn as a prestigious club that coexists with the region.”

Meanwhile, Chairman Dong-wook Seo plans to visit the site of the first street concert commemorating the agreement, which will be held at the Munsu Stadium square on the 26th, to encourage the performers. In the subsequent home match, he plans to act as the ceremonial kicker himself to wish the squad success, deliver a message supporting the club’s leap forward again, and continue full-fledged cooperative actions.
