Ulsan Nam-gu (Mayor Dong-wook Seo) announced on the 10th that Ulsan Beongae Market is holding a “Wednesday Night Market” every Wednesday afternoon as it was selected for the “2025 Traditional Market Revitalization Support Public Contest Project”.

The Ulsan Beongae Market Wednesday Night Market has been open every Wednesday from 4:30 PM to 8:40 PM since the 1st.

It will be operated a total of 20 times, including 15 times until July 15 in the first half of the year, and 5 times from September 30 to October 28 in the second half.

15 stores are participating in the Wednesday Night Market, selling 20 menus including clay pot barbecue, jokbal (pig’s trotters), suyuk (boiled pork slices), dakgangjeong (sweet crispy fried chicken), buchu-jeon (chive pancake), grilled fish, and bunsik (snacks).

25 outdoor tables and 120 chairs are installed in the market so that people can eat the food purchased at the night market.

In addition, customer participation events such as Gayageum Byeongchang (singing with gayageum accompaniment) performances, busking performances, and prize draws are also prepared.

To increase the overall competitiveness and self-sustainability of the market, Ulsan Beongae Market is promoting not only the operation of the Wednesday Night Market but also the advancement of online sales, a stamp tour bingo challenge, the establishment of an on/offline multilingual menu system, and a children’s market experience class.

A Nam-gu official said, “We will actively support Ulsan Beongae Market to establish itself as a representative cultural tourism-type market in the region through the vitalization of the Wednesday Night Market and the advancement of online sales,” adding, “We ask for much interest and visits from citizens to revitalize traditional markets amidst difficulties due to the domestic demand slump.”
