- 2026 Suam Hanwoo (Korean Beef) Night Market Opens on the 17th -

Ulsan Nam-gu (Mayor Dong-wook Seo) announced that the “2026 Suam Hanwoo Night Market” will be operated for a total of 14 times from the 17th to the 30th of next month.

It will be held in the market arcade section from 6:30 PM to 10:30 PM every Friday and Saturday, and will be operated as an experiential night market combining Hanwoo (Korean beef) grilling stalls, food, a flea market, and various participatory events.

In particular, at the Suam Hanwoo sales stalls, the core content of the night market, carefully selected high-quality Hanwoo is provided at a 25?30% discount compared to the market price, offering a special food experience where you can grill and eat it directly over a charcoal fire on site.

These stalls will be operated by butchers in the Suam Shopping Market participating in rotation every week.

In particular, a social media participation event targeting the MZ generation has also been prepared this year.

Prizes will be provided if visitors post a night market review with a designated hashtag on their personal social media (Instagram, etc.), and participatory programs such as a roulette event will also be held on-site, which is expected to provide unique enjoyment to visitors.

A Nam-gu official said, “This Suam Hanwoo (Korean Beef) Night Market will go beyond a simple food event to increase the market’s self-sustainability and establish itself as a representative local night market enjoyed by both merchants and customers,” adding, “We ask for a lot of interest and visits from citizens to revitalize the local economy amidst difficult economic conditions such as the recent domestic demand slump.”

Meanwhile, the Suam Hanwoo Night Market was operated a total of 44 times last year, and about 45,000 people visited. Although the number of operations decreased by 6 compared to the previous year, 2024, the number of visitors increased by about 5,000. The total sales amount was aggregated at about KRW 230 million, an increase of 7.9% from about KRW 213 million in the previous year (2024).
