Ulsan Nam-gu Achieves No. 1 in Korea in the Bioterrorism First Responder Training Evaluation Held by the KDCA

Ulsan Nam-gu (Mayor Dong-wook Seo) reported that the Nam-gu Public Health Center topped the ranks of 17 cities and provinces nationwide in the “2025 Bioterrorism First Responder Training Evaluation” held by the KDCA

This evaluation included a total of 7 items to comprehensively review the planning and operation of training which includes the following; training plan appropriateness, participation of related institutions, training pre-education, situation setup, bioterrorism response area, initial response, and additional quarantine.

Especially, Nam-gu’s response system that established a staged response system such as performing additional steps such as radiation measurement before bioterrorism kit inspection, and prioritizing the safety of the initial response task force received high marks.

Mayor Dong-wook Seo stated “This is a meaningful achievement that was only possible through the cooperation of related institutions including the police, fire service, military, and medical facilities”, and “We will make sure to further strengthen a preemptive and precise response system through continuous and systematic training.”
