Ulsan Nam-gu (Mayor Dong-wook Seo) announced that a satisfaction survey of the exhibition hall at Jangsaengpo Cultural Warehouse, the district’s flagship multi-cultural complex, showed an average score of 93 points, receiving a “very satisfied” rating from visitors.
According to Nam-gu, the survey was conducted from March to November 2025, about nine months, using on-site questionnaires completed by 404 visitors to Jangsaengpo Culture Warehouse, in order to prepare plans to improve the quality and future operation of its exhibition content. The results showed that in the exhibition service category, the average score was 93.7 points, with the “usefulness of the exhibition content” item receiving the highest rating at 96 points. In the exhibition environment category, the average was 93.6 points, reflecting high satisfaction with internal circulation and exhibition facilities. “Overall satisfaction with the exhibition hall” was measured at 91.9 points, and “intention to revisit” at 91.4 points, indicating that Jangsaengpo Culture Warehouse is establishing itself not just as a one-time exhibition venue, but as a cultural space that attracts repeat visits. Women (65.8%) and Ulsan residents (78.5%) accounted for the majority of respondents, with visitors in their 40s and 50s making up more than half. This was analyzed as showing that Jangsaengpo Cultural Warehouse has positioned itself as a daily-life-oriented multicultural space mainly for families. Visitors responded positively, saying, “The exhibition circulation is pleasant,” “I can systematically appreciate works by various artists,” “The quality of the exhibition is very high even though admission is free,” and “The interactive exhibitions I can enjoy with my child are great.” In particular, the recently held Special Exhibition of Celebrity Artists, “ The Power of K-Culture: From Jangsaengpo to the World,” the solo exhibition by artist Andre, “A World Where Everyone Is a Protagonist,” and the interactive popup exhibition “Let’s Go with Jangsaeng-i!” all received strong responses for combining popular appeal and artistic value, and recent improvement work on the walls of the 3rd to 4th floor exhibition halls has created an even more pleasant viewing environment. Some respondents, however, suggested that “accessibility, including parking space, needs improvement.” Based on these survey results, the district plans, in conjunction with the venue’s 5th anniversary next year, to expand audience-participation exhibitions, plan seasonal themed shows, strengthen promotion via SNS and local communities, and improve the parking environment. Nam-gu mayor Dong-wook Seo of Nam-gu said, “Through this survey, we confirmed that the exhibition content at Jangsaengpo Cultural Warehouse enjoys high trust and satisfaction from citizens,” adding, “We will continue to develop content and improve services so that it can grow into a cultural and arts exhibition space that represents Ulsan.” |
