The Whale Culture Foundation (Chairman Dong-wook Seo) announced that Jangsaengpo Art Stay will run the creative arts education program “Object Theater Playground” from this month through November. The program helps participants view everyday objects from a new perspective and cultivate creativity.

“Object Theater Playground” is an interactive art education program that uses everyday objects (“objets”) as the basis for creating and expressing personal stories. Led by professional theater instructors, the sessions are conducted in a playful manner, fostering creativity, expressiveness, and teamwork among participants.

The program will be held at Jangsaengpo Elementary School and Jangsaengpo Art Stay, consisting of six sessions for enrolled students.

Divided into lower- and upper-grade groups, the customized curriculum allows students to observe classroom objects, create characters from them, and compose dialogues and skits―experiencing the process of theatrical creation firsthand.

A representative from the Whale Culture Foundation said, “Through seeing familiar objects in a new light, children can expand their imagination and creativity, learn cooperation with friends, and feel a sense of accomplishment. We will continue building a sustainable model for arts education in collaboration with local schools.”
