Ulsan Nam-gu (Mayor Dong-wook Seo) has selected 15 university students for summer part-time job program and conducted an orientation prior to their official start date on the 7th.

The students for this program will be placed in the Mugeo Health Promotion Center, Nam Gu Public Health Center, Namgu Youth Chaoreum Center, Samsan Haesol Youth Center, and the Jangsaengpo Culture Warehouse (A-Factory) to perform various practical tasks such as administrative support, promotional activities, and on-site guidance, etc.

Those selected university students will work 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, receiving about KRW 2 million in monthly wage, along with the provision of industrial accident and employment insurance.

On the 7th, Nam-gu held a pre-employment orientation session in the 4th-floor meeting room of Annex Building 1 to mark the beginning of the summer part-time job program. The session provided guidance on workplace conduct, an overview of Nam-gu’s administrative affairs, an introduction to the district’s signature attractions―the “9 Scenic Views of Nam-gu”―and key policies for youth.

Various events to experience Nam-gu’s affairs are planned to be operated during the part-time job period such as the Jangsaengpo Culture Warehouse (A-Factory) and visiting the Youth Job Cafe.

Mayor Dong-wook Seo stated, “We hope this becomes a meaningful opportunity for students to make good use of their summer vacation by experiencing various administrative tasks and developing a deeper interest and affection for Nam-gu.” He added, “We will continue to listen closely to the voices of university students and expand opportunities for them to engage in policymaking and local administration.”
