Ulsan Nam-gu (Mayor Dong-wook Seo) held the “Roundtable for Public Officials Recognized for Excellent Complaint Service” on the 3rd.
This roundtable was prepared to encourage public officials who were complimented by citizens for their dedication in their complaint sites, and listen to the difficulties and suggestions of the officials who process complaint tasks. Nam-gu compiled compliments and messages of appreciation received via handwritten letters, the Nam-gu website, e-People, and phone calls to select public officials recognized for their kindness and service in handling civil complaints. Key examples include: officials who kindly and thoroughly responded to civil inquiries, those who proactively handled issues on site, and those who promptly processed complex administrative documents. The roundtable was participated by 10 complaint friendliness and compliment public officials along with Nam-gu vice mayor Yi Chae-gwon, where participants shared their fulfilling and difficult experience, while suggesting realistic methods to improve complaint services. They also exchanged ideas for the “Kindness with a Smile, Happy Nam-gu” initiative and discussed measures to protect public officials from emotional labor. Vice-mayor Yi Chae-gwon commented, “Today’s gathering is a meaningful occasion to express my gratitude to the hard work of those who received compliments from our citizens, and to listen sincerely to the pressing concerns raised from the site”, added “We will continue to give our endless support towards workers who are doing their best to process complaints out in the field.” |
