On the 24th, Ulsan Nam-gu (Mayor Dong-wook Seo) has participated in the “Busan Global Gathering 2025” held in the Busan Cinema Center and successfully promoted the “4th Jangsaengpo Hydrangea Festival” and the Jangsaengpo Whale Culture District.

The Busan Global Gathering is one of Korea’s leading global cultural festivals, jointly hosted by Busan Metropolitan City and the Ministry of Justice, and co-organized by the Busan Global City Foundation, the Busan Cinema Center, and the Busan Immigration Office. The event serves as a platform for people of various nationalities living in Korea to connect and engage with one another.

During the event, Nam-gu attracted significant attention from visitors by operating a promotional booth decorated with a backdrop themed around the 4th Jangsaengpo Hydrangea Festival, artificial hydrangea flowers, and a “Jangsaengi” photo zone.

Especially, a Jangsaengpo tourism guide written in 4 languages of Korean, English, Chinese, and Japanese were distributed, receiving positive feedback from overseas visitors.

Accordingly, the “Discover Jangsaengpo's Charm” survey board that investigates perception towards key facilities within the whale culture district was operated, where tourism souvenirs given to respondents were popular among visitors.

A Nam-gu official commented, “I consider this opportunity very meaningful to introduce the charm of the Jangsaengpo Hydrangea Festival and the Whale Culture District through participating at the Busan Global Gathering”, and added “We hope that all the festival visitors to take a step further and experience the year-round beauty of Jangsaengpo.”

In the meantime, the 4th Jangsaengpo Hydrangea Festival will be held from June 7 to 29 throughout the Jangsaengpo Whale Culture Village, featuring a variety of hydrangea-themed cultural performances and hands-on programs for citizens and tourists alike.
