Ulsan Nam-gu (Mayor Dong-wook Seo) carried out the Population Policy Promotion at Your Doorstep connected with the pregnancy and childbirth class targeting 30 expectant mothers, held in the 2nd floor auditorium of the Nam-gu Health Center on the 18th.

Nam-gu distributed promotional material related to happy childbirth and childcare to participating expectant mothers, actively promoting Nam-gu’s childbirth-friendly policies and collecting opinions on related policies.

Expectant mothers, in particular, demonstrated a strong interest in the Childbirth and Parenting Home Acquisition Tax Reduction Project, the Grandparent-Grandchild Care Allowance Project, and the Livelihood Care Support Services for New Mothers.

Nam-gu is planning to strengthen communication with residents through the Population Policy Promotion at Your Doorstep project and expand social sympathy.

Additionally, MOUs with various population-related organizations such as the Korea Population, Health and Welfare Association to create a sustainable Nam-gu where all generations are happy together.

An expecting mother who participated in the education session commented that “I didn’t know there were so many population policies being carried out in Nam-gu”, and added “It was beneficial to learn helpful information related to pregnancy and childbirth.”

Mayor Dong-wook Seo stated that “We need interest and change of perspective from all members of society to solve the low birthrate problem”, and “We will enhance citizens’ interest on the population problem through continuous promotional activities, and discover various policies to minimize Nam-gu’s population crisis.”
