Nam-gu (Head: Seo Dong-wook) announced that it will operate the Jangsaengpo Tourism Information Center starting on Oct. 11.

The construction of Nam-gu Tourist Information Center to renovate a souvenir shop stood in front of the Jangsaengpo Whale Museum commenced in August. It will be finally unveiled after being transformed into a smart tourist information center that is fully equipped with convenient facilities for visitors.

The Tourist Information Center is designed to allow visitors to enjoy a strange pleasure to feel that they are standing on a beach as they enter the entrance. Also, resting areas, mobile phone chargers and sanitizers are placed for enhanced convenience of tourists.

In addition, Nam-gu installed kiosks to provide tourism courses tailored to the tourist need and allowed them to take photos in the background of top 9 tourist attractions in Nam-gu to leave comments in the digital guest book and download them to their mobile phones by scanning a QR code to boost the convenience of tourists.

It also installed a QR map on the wall of the Tourist Information Center so that visitors could find the information of tourist destination easily through their mobile phones by simply scanning the QR code.

An official of Nam-gu said, "We thought hard to provide tourists with both attractions and convenience in the Tourist Information Center. Specifically, a particular attention was put on photo tour and digital guest book to help them could return home with memories taken in Jangsaengpo as well as various parts of Nam-gu. Thus, we hope that many tourists visiting Jangsaengpo are able to enjoy them."
